Add BOM User Columns

  1. Select Home > BOM in the Navigation Menu. The BOM tab window displays.
  2. Select your project from the Project dropdown in the Ribbon Menu if needed. The default selection is the current active project in the main EVMax window. The left pane displays the list of BOMs defined for the project.
  3. Click User Columns in the Ribbon Menu. A User Columns dialog box displays.
  4. Enter a Column name.
  5. Optional. If the new column is a quantity field, click the Is Quantity check box.
  6. Click OK. The new item is added as a column in the right pane of the BOM tab window.
  7. Optional. Repeat Steps 3 through 6 to add other columns as desired.
  8. Click Save in the Ribbon Menu.

    Tips:

User defined BOM columns are project specific. Once you add a user defined column to a BOM, all BOMs for the project include the column.

The BOM tab window is a typical row and column grid view. You can drag columns to different positions, hide or show columns, and apply filters. For more information, see Window Configuration.

  9. Optional. Close the BOM tab.
